I paid a mechanic in cash to fix the transmission on my car on October 29th. After 3 weeks of the mechanic not even laying a finger on my car I took my car elsewhere and told the mechanic return the part so I may get a refund. It has been 2 months and the mechanic has not even paid half of what I paid. I have been taking Ubers to work 40mins away which cost me 35-42 dollars per ride. I have been doing this since my car broke down on the 26th of October. This mechanic has cost me to max my credit card to get u we rides as well as lose enough money to the point I could've made a down payment towards the same car twice by now. I have tried being patient but I have spent my birthday alone, thanksgiving alone, and soon new years alone due to my family being in nyc and me being in Maryland for school. Resolution Sought I want this mechanic to pay be back the amount paid to him as well as a month with Uber rides on my end.
