Construction Dust, Lack of Protection, and Poor Communication. Prior to the project beginning, I specifically asked our salesperson, Andrew, what level of construction dust we should expect. He assured me it would be minimal. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Following the work, it took us several days to clean construction dust from multiple areas of our home, including the kitchen, curtains, carpeting, cloth couch, and even the cold-air return of our heating and cooling system. (The quote to get this cleaned was over a grand!) It is unclear why adjacent rooms were not properly blocked off or why our furniture was not covered, as this would have significantly reduced the mess and potential damage. This situation also raises serious concerns for our household, family members have COPD and breathing issues that can be aggravated by dust exposure. In addition, communication with the company has been extremely difficult. I reached out for over a month—by phone, voicemail, text, and email—before finally speaking to Jordan (manager) . She stated there was nothing she could do regarding the dust issue beyond the small compensation previously provided for the last-minute rescheduling of our construction date, which had disrupted my work schedule. I have a video showing the construction dust being blown everywhere from a shop vac used. Sent to them VIA email Also I had someone on their team using power tools that would work unless the cord was held and this is unsafe Resolution Sought I am requesting appropriate resolution for the lack of dust protection, the extensive cleanup required. I also want to make sure this will never happen to others. Construction dust blown thru a heating and cooling system causes so many health issues.
