They charged me extra year of membership against my will. I called to cancel the membership after my first order and they confused me with some coupon, which apparently invalidated my wish for canceling. The membership. Therefore they have been charging me automatically for the membership, even though it is clear that I don't use their service at all, for years. When I called to ask why my subscription was renewed again they said it is their policy to renew a subscription for the next year if I accept a coupon. This was not communicated to me. Otherwise I wouldn't have accepted a coupon. This a predatory practice. They are ripping people off, confusing them with their offer and lying to the customers. They refuse to refund my money even though clearly I haven't used their website/app and I only ever ordered from them once in 2023. They are making me keep the membership until 2025 without even a partial refund. They are predators! Resolution Sought I want my membership fees back for those years in which I didn't use their service.

I was charged 59.95, but I had never placed an order recently. Tried calling, but was disconnected. I also tried to text, but no response. I expected to speak with some right away or at the very least someone should have responded to my text. Thrive Market has not responded to me. Resolution Sought I expect Thrive Market to credit my account 59.95

Company emailed stating: The charge is a membership fee which is collected at sign up at Thrivemarket.com. We state this in our sign up funnel and a confirmation page with terms is shared before the user can proceed to shop on our website. We also fully outline how membership works in our terms of service. When the membership expired, the customer did not contact us, and the membership was renewed as stated in all previous messaging. The customer associated with this complaint holds two accounts with us. One without an active membership under the email @att.net and the other with an active membership under @gmail.com. This user contacted us via text message on 12/30/21 where they engaged in conversation with more than one of our agents. The user provided the inactive email when requesting to cancel their membership as they claimed to have submitted a complaint to the Better Business Bureau since they were under the impression that they did not have an active membership. One of our agents shared that the account provided was incorrect and identified the correct email address for the user who then stopped responding to the text thread. Please see the attached transcript. Membership fees once collected are non-refundable as outlined in our terms of service. We have canceled the automatic renewal of this user's account to prevent any new charges and they are free to use the membership for the duration of the current term.
