My car was towed in a parking lot. I was not even notified of the tow and there were no signs along the fence that it was private parking. They demand $750 + $150 (for storage fee every day), CASH ONLY, no other payments. This seems like it is an illegal towing. Resolution Sought Full refund

Company Response

The complaint form did not provide enough information for the company to accurately respond to it. We only respond to complaints that have a paid invoice attached showing the make and model of the vehicle, date and time of the tow, and any receipts they may have proving they were shopping at the time they were parked.

I will attach the invoice and where I was parked. There is a tow sign in every lane except the place where I have parked. Many people have been victimized by this predatory towing company, it's ridiculous.

REVISED 04/03/2025: I have attached pictures of Ms. Bitoon's vehicle parked illegally on private property. Her vehicle is considerably close to the posted signage advising that all unauthorized vehicles and anyone leaving the premises will be towed immediately. Also, attached are pictures of Ms. Bitoon walking away from her vehicle parked on private property to the Septa station to board the train. Lastly is a picture of one of numerous signs posted within the parking lot that Ms. Bitoon drove and walked past the day her vehicle was towed. Pennsylvania state law requires signs to be posted at every entrance of a private parking lot. We abide by those requirements of PA motor vehicle code section 3353. Also, an Acura RDX is a AWD vehicle and to tow one without the keys requires extra labor and special equipment. Please attach the towing invoice you received when the vehicle was picked up. Also, please provide a proof of purchase from the store you were shopping at on 2/25/25 during the time your vehicle was towed. Pictures and/or security video will be provided upon receipt or the above information .

Customer Complaint

My car was towed by this agency from an apartment complex my son lives in on 9/24/24. I was never never made aware the car was towed by TowSquad and neither was he. When he reached out he was told by the owner Dave Money he would have to pay $800.00 to get the car, cash only and would not give a receipt when he was asked. This towing company has been on the news in previous years for watching where people park their cars and then tow them and charge high rates to get them back, again cash only with no receipts being given. Resolution Sought Issue a formal investigation and if necessary prevent him from owing the business. He takes cash, so how does anyone know he files taxes on what he collects, he is unprofessional and takes clear advantage of people by charging exuberant fees. I want this company to address this claim.
