I have been purchasing your Pastry Bites for the holidays for the past 3 years. I have always put them on an aluminum sheet to bake in my toaster oven, because I actually cook food in my oven, and they turned out great. On Thanksgiving Day last week I saw the package said to leave them on the "enclosed tray" so I did. Within no time I smelled this awful smell and thought I had an electric fire within 5 minutes of company coming. What a disaster. Melted plastic and smell so bad, I threw them outside with the toaster oven. This is a "snack" and not a dinner and should not require a full size oven to be heated. Fortunately I had more in the freezer and had to move everything out of the oven temporarily. I now had to buy a new toaster oven for 42 dollars because of this disaster because the plastic melted into the heating element and is toxic, as well as a loss of the package of pastry bites. Resolution Sought I would like some kind of compensation for my loss. I shop at the Trader Joes every week and spend at least $50.00 each time. In over 20 years of shopping with them, I have never had a disaster like this happen.
