I am writing this email to seek assistance for the unfair business practice of a shipping/logistics company in Los Angeles. My son have graduated from Oregon state university in 2021 and are bringing home all his belongings back to Indonesia. We have appointed a company in LA to do this for us. We have also applied to embassy of Indonesia in LA for the letter to bring back our stuff. Enclosed the attachment for the goods that we have send and our payment to them. The goods are my all belongings to be send back to Indonesia after my graduation. They have received the goods early January (attachment 1 showed they have received them). We were told to transfer the freight and all fees on Jan 20 for them to load the goods immediately. We have done the transfer on Jan 21 as per attachment 2. We were promised we will receive the good within 2 to 2.5 months. However, it was 5 months now, we have asked multiple of times and only received the goods are on the way. They do not even bother to answer our emails on last few occasions. Suddenly, 2 days ago, they informed us our goods are in Indonesia and we need to pay extra expenses to them if we want our goods. We have submitted a letter from Indonesia embassy in LA when we gave the goods to them . It is a regulations that all graduated students are entitled to ship their belongings back home without additional taxes involved. The list of items that we have send is the list of items we reported to the embassy. Resolution Sought As your goods has been delayed for almost 3 months, we would like to take our goods back as soon as possible and would like the company to compensate for the delay. We have all the documents and emails as the proof and could summit upon request at anytime.

Company states: To whom it may concern, Regarding the complaint, we sent two boxes to door to the client in Jun. They are good to release by Indonesian customs. The rest of boxes are having prohibited items. The client should know what inside since the client didn't allow us to transfer to good condition boxes. Our customer service emailed the client back and forth and explained the situation. On July 11th we got the call from the client's family's friend named Rich. We treasure our clients and hope to solve all issues accordingly. Please let us know if you need additional information. Thank you for your attention and sorry to get your company to involve this type of case.

Consumer states; We have written to TSL a few days ago and agreed to pay for the amount they requested (ransom) in order to get back our goods as we really need them urgently. We have tried to seek for assistance but failed. We therefore have no choice but to pay for what they wanted. Upon received our request, they even try to twist the facts that there are prohibited goods included. This is a very serious accusations. If we have included any prohibited items, they will definitely have asked the custom officer to contact us directly and provide all the documents. It is impossible for them to absorb the criminal acts on behalf of their consumer. Til we received our goods, no documentation was provided for the amount ransom we paid and nothing was also given to explain why the goods took more than 5 months. In addition to that, we are missing a few items in our boxes. This is horrible. We do hope that you could investigate/examine the case and make a clear picture to others so no consumer will be suffered in near future from what they did .I will NEVER use this company's service again.
