Complaint Resolution Index (CRI) Explained The Complaint Resolution Index (CRI) is an indicator on how responsive a company is in addressing and resolving customer complaints brought to their attention by BCA. If they are considering doing business with the company, consumers can use this indicator to forecast the likelihood of having their issues addressed if a problem arises. CRI measures the company's customer satisfaction abilities through BCA’s complaint mediation process.

A variety of factors are considered when calculating CRI. This includes how quickly a company responds to complaints, the number of complaints against a company, whether the company addressed complaint allegations, and the outcome of the complaints. CRI is just a subset of the overall rating for the company. Customer Complaint

Called Tri County for service on my brand new Whirlpool water softener. TriCounty sent 2 salesman Ben & Ryan...good salesman/bad salesman. Both looked at the softener installed less than 10 months ago at the cracked drain hose. While Ryan engaged me in conversation Ben turned off my unit, the water, and drained the softener water to "evaluate" the water. Ben told me that my unit was for city water not well water. HUH? He Really said that! He told me that I needed a different unit & lucky me he had an opening the next day. He said that normally the unit is $2495 plus install & taxes but for tomorrow ONLY be could get me the unit for $1895 install & tax included. Also he explained that for a couple hundred down I could make monthly payments for a year same as cash. Shocked I reacted to his evaluation as I own a brand new unit. He then accused me of jumping down his throat (great sales technique eh?). I stated that I just wanted the hose replaced. But since they were sales they'd have to send someone out the next morning. But he asked that I save his cell # and text if I changed my mind on the new unit. He told me several times it that the $1895 was only good for tomorrow otherwise it would be $2495 plus install & tax! PS: My water softener is rated in the top 10 best water softeners. Ben never turned my unit back on and I ruined a set of new white towels...not okay. Resolution Sought Refund of $125.00 and an apology. But I want other potential customers to know that if they call for service and get sales to be prepared for unethical practices.
