I was charged $650 to get my car released from impound after a 5-mile tow the following day that it was towed not even 12 hours later they charged me a $200 gate fee saying they had to call somebody to come in but they didn't the person was actually standing in the office when I walked in the door then they were not closed they said they were closed today but their doors are open and people were working they charge me another $200 this place is taking advantage of people and ripping them off it is not right it's extortion Resolution Sought Something to monitor them they are ripping people off this is Criminal I should at least get back the gate fee of $200 and the after hours fee not to mention $400 to tow a vehicle 5 MI that's not right either

Company states; We impounded Mr. Clough's vehicle as the request of Nevada City Police Dept on 7/1/23 @ 20:53. Our office hours are 8-4:30 Monday - Friday - Saturday 10am-2pm and closed Sunday. Mr. Clough came into our office on Sunday and spoke with a Dispatcher who was working for dispatching purposes and wanted to get his vehicle there is a $200 after hours gate fee, when it is outside of office working hours, it is clearly posted all fees. It was his choice to have us open the yard and have someone release his vehicle, the tow rating and storage is approved by all local Law Enforcement and TSA is on file with CHP and all others $350 per hour port to port - $100 per day storage- $200 after hours gate fee his bill was $650 for services every charge is legal and justified. He should not have had his vehicle impounded. If he has further issues, he can take them up with NCPD or CHP. Triple M Towing,
