Complaint that True gas falsely turned off my gas for incorrectly not showing a payment made of amount of $58 dollars or so.. I in fact however did make the payment, which was due-the payment was on August 5, as set to pay on an arrangement.. I rounded the $58 to$59 or $60. I received a confirmation number of 989442. I wrote the number on the back of a PNC bank business card. The card was a card I had obtained for the first time on Aug. 5th recollecting that day as the first visit to PNC. There to cash an insurance check. True Nat gas advised they did not see the payment on the 5th and if the payment was recognized ,my gas would not have been turned off. More egregious than the payment not showing, was the mgr/supv Deon , whom I spoke with, advising the payment could not be located giving the confirmation number, and falsely said confirmation numbers were only for customers to keep. then said when i insisted the purpose of a confirmation is record of payment. She then said she couldn't find any payment ,requires you put in the date of the transaction in order to verify a payment confirmation number. which i believe is false. Also that the system did not show the confirmation number I have ,which i know is correct. Resolution Sought I have asked the manager who stated she could not pull up the transaction number, to put dates of recent payments which would eliminate and confirm the confirmation number I provided does belong to the payment on 8th. Also oddly instead of taking the confirmation number, Rep emphasized it could only be confirmed with showing it came thru my bank on the 5th, which Coincidentally was the very day, I am having issues with bank missing transactions .
