17 year old Son took car with a locking wheel lug to shop. They told him they could get off but had to order something so made appointment for couple days later and they tried to remove but could not. They beat the heck out of the rim causing significant damage around stud hole. Called to complain and manager said they wouldn't have done that but will review tape. Called back later and he sent tape to corporate to review. Corporate finally replied today that damage was not bad enough to affect usability so they wouldn't cover anything. That is most silly and illegal excuse ever. If you destroy the paint on a car and ding a fender clearly you are liable for damages you did to the vehicle even if usability not affected. They also said they had a consent that allowed for this. No consent ever authorizes a business to damage things and not be liable but even better is they don't have consent now, said it was verbal and from a minor child? Legally is that even a consent? Not in most states!! Resolution Sought Reimburse for new rim and now reimburse for additional time spent to call multiple times and file dispute.
