Booked a car rental and once returned they let the host tack on $173 charge for "smoking". I do not and have never smoked in my life. I disputes the charge and turo is siding with them per their guidelines and didn't even give me a chance to dispute or show my proof. I also tried chatting with someone because I was pulled over for the car not being registered and they said there's nothing they can do. Like how do you pick and choose what guidelines to abide by? Unfair practices as I believe you should always get both sides of what's going on. He took pictures of the one area and I believe he put it there intentionally to charge an additional fee. Shame on the host and shame on Turo for not properly investigating. Resolution Sought I would like a refund for the reimbursement you're requesting. Also investigate your hosts!
