We needed to mail our daughter's DL to her and have it to her asap as she was without her DL. We stayed this needs to arrive by next week so we need to be sure. Agent stated as she showed the arrival date as promised. Which we mailed 3/14 and due to arrive 3/17. This was of grave importance the package just arrived to my brothers today 3/21 at 1029am mst. Our daughter is back in Kansas and now we have to pay to have the license sent back to us. Upon going into Hutchinson usps office were told now the only way it would've been guaranteed is if we paid the $30. Of which this option was never presented when we mailed it the first time. We expressed the importance and had zero issues with paying $30 to have it guaranteed. I have been using usps to mail packages for decades now on average a package a month and only during holiday season have I ever seen a delay. We were told not refunds. I can understand maybe two days later as I've experienced this. This was literally gojng less than 800 miles. And 8 days is unexceptable period. Resolution Sought Refund the money we spent to ship an item that we could've just put a stamp on an envelope and would've shown up maybe quicker.

As a reslut of ongoing challenges, the Postal Service is diligently working to reaarange its limited resources to continue processing and delivering mail. These challenges have adversly implacted some delivery, processing and transporatation operations. WE are mindful of the fact that customers need timely delivery of their mail, particularly mail conveying medications, merchandise packages, and FirstClass Mail. Unfortunately, our only guaratneed service is our Priority Mail Express. You may log on to our website and submit a claim for reimbursement, howeve, since you item was delivered, there is no loss, and your claim may be denied. You may file a claim at https://www.usps.com/hlep/claims.htm. Sign in and complete the calim form with supporing documentation. Once submitted, USPS will review the claim and provide an update. If approved, reimbusement is typically issued via check or direct deposit. Reimbursements are not issued by your local post office. Please accept our apologies for any failure to meet your expectations and for any inconvenience you may have experienced because of these unanticipated delays.
