I hired Universal Roofing to do a complete tear-off of roofing and shingles due to water entering the house. The job that I was quoted was $6400 I paid a deposit of $4000 to start job and a payment plan was agreed upon that I would pay $200 a week towards the remaining balance. Work didn't start for 3weeks after deposit was secured. Work has been slow to the completion or finishing the job, I come over to the house every day after work to check progress take pictures, and do a complete walk around of the property. It has been 6weeks and project is still not complete. Today 9/15/24 I came to check progress and there is roofing felt on top of the roof but no wood has been replaced, to verify this I go home to grab a ladder so I can do a full inspection of the roof from the inside of the house in the attic, sure enough my assumption was right no wood has been replaced or holes covered with plywood I took a video and pictures of the damage that still remains and is cover up with roofing felt paper, large dumpster has also been removed. 9/15/2024 I express concern about the roofing felt paper and how it offers no waterproofing or protection from rodents or the elements due to the holes in the roof. I was told it was only. Temporary, 9/20/24 I received a call from the Darrell Richardson assuring me that the work would be done and done right. Here we are to 9/22/2024 a rainy day and no further work has been done although I keep receiving text messages stating come. Resolution Sought A full refund for replacement of roof and damages to finance and chimney.
