1 window was measured incorrectly and the company refuses to correct the issue. The solution they came up with was putting a 3 inch piece of vinyl on the inside and filling the gap with foam. Resolution Sought Replace the window with a properly sized window.

We have had the chance to speak with this homeowner about his windows multiple times. We do not believe that the window in question is mismeasured and have spoken to him directly about this. While on the call, he did bring up a service concern and we have scheduled a return visit on 12/21 to have our Technician address the concern, and also verify the measurements of the window that the homeowner was worried about. Salesman said 16 windows and gutters installed in one day. I asked 5 times to make sure done in one day, said yes each time. Said there would be a team for windows and team for gutters. I said two to team, he said no a group for each. Guy came to measure windows wasn't here 10 minutes and left with measurements. Windows installed with gapes up to 1 3/4 inch gapes. All windows had gaps. Sent pictures in and they said that was ok. Talk to a contractor and he said he allows 3/8 in gap. Show him pictures and he said that was unacceptable. On line said windows should only have 1/2 inch gap. Contractor that put windows in that works for Universal Windows Direct even said they don't measure the windows right. Contractor is who took the picture of window with 1 3/4 in gap to show them. They filled window gaps in with metal strip and spray foam. They said all windows were ready to install. One of the two double windows was damaged and the contractor told them not to load it. Four screens damaged on windows. This was in November. Gutter not installed yet, said they measured wrong I agreed to do last window and gutters on same day when window was ready. I have 3 windows , since it has gotten cold, where the window meets in the middle that have a line of moisture above them, so that shows leakage. The contractor I had talked to said with that much spray foam, expansion of foam may not let windows close and may have later issues. I have other issues also but not enough space. Resolution Sought Replace all windows with correct size window and have them installed correctly at no cost to me for anything since the company breeched the contract with what the salesman informed my wife and I. Especially after I asked 5 times throughout his demo, are you sure this would be all done in one day and he guarantee it. Also after I asked is a team just two people, and the salesman said no, there would be a group of people to install the windows and a group of people to install the gutters.
