I purchased an engine from Used Engines Inc, with the understanding that the used engine was tested and guaranteed to function properly. When the engine was delivered a lot of the external parts were severely damaged, the valve covers were leaking, the intake was cracked, and it had many other broken parts. My licensed mechanic replaced all of these broken parts, and installed the engine, which according to Used Engines Inc, was tested and guaranteed to work. However once the engine was installed, the licensed mechanic started the vehicle and discovered the engine was damaged internally and will not be road worthy. I immediately called Used Engines Inc and they're in the process of sending a different used engine in accordance with their return policy. However they have refused to cover the labor charge of the mechanic. Stating that their return policy does not cover labor costs. However I had the engine installed with the understanding that the engine was tested and guaranteed, and I paid $2215.00 in labor alone to have it installed. But since the engine does not work I am now having to repay my mechanic the same labor costs to have the new engine that Used Engine Inc is sending installed. Since Used Engine Inc is responsible for the testing and guarantee of the engine, they are also responsible for the labor costs when they have failed to properly test or ship the engine. Resolution Sought Because Used Engine Inc, stated that the engine was tested and guaranteed, I had the engine installed at 2215.00 and I believe they are responsible for paying the labor costs of replacing the engine.

My husband Ordered a engine for my car through used engine inc they sent the engine to my mechanic shop and the engine was not good so I call to request for a label to return the engine they did not want to give me a label to return they wanted to know what was wrong with it well when we received it it was still on the pallet and it is still on the pallet has not been moved my mechanic looked it over found out it has a leak in one of the valves in the engine my mechanic contact used engine and he also contact my husband to let him know that it was a bad engine used engine requested for a video which is in the policy my mechanic sent the video they stated they receive the video and then they came up there was nothing wrong with the engine when they shipped it to my mechanic the engine was never touched my mechanic never touched it my husband and myself went over to see the engine and it was not a good site I spoke with several of the customer service reps David ,Nick, Allen. gessler. Talk with them explain to them we wanted a refund they kept coming up with we need a diagnostic check that was not in the policy the policy stated if I was not happy with the engine call customer service request for a label return and they would return it easily to me I have not gotten that they do not want to refund us our money they keep making excuses we just inform them we just want our refund back on the card they kept bringing up warranty replacement we just want our refund Resolution Sought We will like the company to live up to there policy and refund us back our money on our card thank you
