We went in on 1/6/26 to do a buy back -trade on a Nissan Quest of my friend LeAnna (it was her vehicle), they told her she needed a $1000.00 down payment. so I came down to give the downpayment, we had picked Mazda cx-5 for purchase. Once they ran my credit card, they decided to give us a 2022 pathfinder-they had to put a battery in and charged it before we could drive it off the lot, and placed the vehicle only in my name. They made me put a $1600.00 downpayment and did not use the trade in towards the purchase of the vehicle. It has a 1 yr limited bumper to bumper warranty- We had to end up having to replace the battery on 4/30, after that, all the lights came on. We took the vehicle in to have the tires check, but they only checked the pressure. They sent us out with all the lights on. Then we took it back on 5/2/26 because there were some fender clips missing causing the fender to hit the tire- They currently have the vehicle for repairs, but they are stating I can't even get a rental car yet because they have to get approval from the insurance for the repairs and the rental. I even offered to pay for the rental after he quoted me a price of $42/day, but now he is stating he can not offer me the rental. Resolution Sought The value of my trade in added to the purchase of the vehicle and for the vehicle to be put into both of our names.
