Mrs. Ramandeep, It is unfortunate you had a bad experience at our office and that you felt like my staff was rude to you. We take pride in being kind to all our patient. However my staff followed all protoccol and unfortunately for you due to HIPPA law, we do require that all patients over 18 years old present a Valid ID. That includes school ID or passport. My son requested those two forms of ID and your son was unable to present that. MY staff calls all patients everyday who have appointments a day prior to appointments. My front office staff spoke to you Mrs. Ramandeep and notified you that your son needed to have a form of ID, insurance cards and he needed to come in by himself. Our office require that only the patients being seeing is allowed in the office unless the patients is under the age of 18. Due to the pandemic we need to limit the amount of patients that come into the office. My office manager was curteous enough to allow you to stay in the waiting area. Unfortunately we were unable to issue you a work note because you were not the patient being seen and for those reasons we could not give you a work note. My office manager however did give you a work note you stated was for your sons job. But in your review you wrote that your son has no job. We are sorry we could not satisfy your needs, but your son is 18 years old, any office that you attend will ask that your son presents a form of ID and will not allow mom to come in to appointment. As far as your son being an IPA student you did not notify my staff. Your son however did great in the exam room and was able to go through with his exam with no problem. Best Regards, Dr. Chinh T. Nguyen
