I am a resident at the Valley Sober Living Galt House. 3 and a half weeks ago there was a gas leak at one of the 2 houses located at 11325 Twin Cities Road, Ca. 95632. The Galt Fire Department determined the 2 buildings immediately evacuate. Valley Sober Living residents had nowhere to go . Some found hotels but were never reimbursed for their hotel fees. Some were sent to other Valley Sober Living homes to crash on the couch. No one was reimbursed for the time they were left without shelter until 4-5 days later they were allowed to return. The House Manager was supposed to get the gas turned back on but after 3 and a half weeks there was still no gas for up to 20 residents. This meant no hot water for showers no heat in the rooms. Each room has 2 beds. The residents pay $160.00 per room. Then the second house floods. There are 3 residents living in a house that has been flooded lined with sandbags, mattresses leaning against the house. The flooded house had one shower with hot water the other residents could use if they hopped from mattress to mattress connecting the 1st house to the 2nd. 1 week later and the House Manager has still made no progress to get the gas turned on and is still housing 3 residents in the 2nd flooded house. This morning I voiced my concerns about the health code violations. He was furious and told me to get the hell out. He threatened me with a urine test. Then he and another resident cornered me in my room and yelled at me to get the hell out!!! Resolution Sought I want this totally incompetent House Manager at Galt House first name Lon to be removed from the position of House Manager. I want an inspection of the 2 houses and action taken if they are still not up to code. The 3 people living in the flooded house are at risk of breathing in mold spores. The House Manager takes advantage of the the residents because they have no place to go and profits off their desperation. He is putting their lives at risk for financial profit.
