On January they may my ppl bill went up by at least to $300 a month. I called and they told me Verde Energy rate was charging me 19kw without my knowledge. They doubled my rate compared to ppl now. I owe them $772 bal. Resolution Sought Adjust billing and Investigate them for ripping off customers.

June 29, 2022 Business Consumer Alliance 315 N La Cadena Drive • Post Office Box 970 Colton, CA 92324-0814 Thank you for bringing customers' concerns to our attention. We appreciate the opportunity to address the concerns that customer has brought before the BCA. Verde Energy USA, Inc. ("Verde" or the "Company") provides the below response. Upon receipt of the BCA's notice, customers' concerns were immediately investigated. During our review we found that on September 30, 2019, the Company mailed the attached notice informing customer that his fixed rate plan would expire on November 19, 2019. Also, on October 17, 2019, the attached Options Notice was mailed to customer to again inform him of the date that his fixed rate would expire and to inform of the variable rate plan that would be billed from November 20, 2019, to December 20, 2019. In addition, attached you will find the Contract Renewal Notice, Options Notice and the subsequent Rate Increase Notices that were sent by Verde to properly inform customer of the updates to his electric supply rate. As evidenced by the attached notice mailed on November 8, 2021, the Company notified customer that his variable rate would transition to $0.1999 per kWh within thirty (30) days. We would like to inform that as of April 29, 2022, customer has contacted Verde to renew his rate plan onto a 12-month fixed rate plan. Based upon our findings, Major agrees that customer was properly notified of his rate expiration and that no credits or adjustments are warranted.
