We had a flat tire Sunday morning (1/6/24). After church, we removed the flat and I took the tire to Walmart because we had purchased it there. The intake technician looked at the tire and said the screw was too close to the side wall and they couldn't plug or patch the tire. He looked up my phone number and found our tire information. He told me "It is covered by the road hazard warranty." He took the tire in the shop and instructed me on where to park and wait. He made NO mention of partial coverage or out of pocket cost. Nothing! An hour later, a different technician walked to my truck and said the tire was ready. I followed him inside just to be given a bill for $121.68. They made no attempt to call me or come to the truck and tell me how much it would cost before performing the work, they just changed the tire, and gave me a bill. All I was told before getting the bill was "It is covered by the road hazard warranty." They made No attempt to tell me how much it would cost before performing the work. Needless to say, I'm very upset. Resolution Sought I would like a full reimbursement of the $121.68. They wasted my time waiting on the tire that they said was covered under warranty. They performed the work without my agreement to pay anything extra. They then said the only options I had was pay the $121.68 or wait even longer for them to put the old tire back on. If they had told me up front how much it was going to cost, I could have made an informed decision. You just don't change tires without telling people how much it will cost!
