I'm emailing to advise you of a bad experience that I had today at Store 1848- Wal-Mart. I went online at Walmart.com to look for an item (Mainstays 6 x 9 Faux Grass Outdoor Area Rug) and was informed that it was out of stock, it offered option to check for availability at some stores namely: Country Club, Plainfield, Naperville, Villa Park, and Glen Ellyn. All, but 2 of the stores were 30 plus miles from my home. I was able to reach someone about a hour later from Glen Ellyn and I spike to Customer Service Associate Yolanda. I explained to Yolanda of my experience on line and she agreed to check to see if it was in stock. She returned and advised me that they indeed had six of the items at $39.99. When my daughter arrived home from work, she agreed to accompany me and she suggested that we take the tollway after she found out the commute would take a hour and a half without tolls. But added 20 miles. We arrived, went to Garden and Lawn section. Located the rugs and headed to checkout, where to my surprise, they rang up for $60.00. I told the associate what was told to me and a manager, Rebecca was called. I explained to Rebecca, what happened and she went to check the price and came back and said the bin they were in had no price, because they was going g to be a price adjustment, but right now, they were ringing up for $60. She asked me who did I speak with and the a young lady named Yolanda said that it was her that I spoke too. She then advised Rebecca that Resolution Sought Have the product shipped to my home with a reduced to compensate for my time and gas.
