We are very upset with how hard it has been to cancel our timeshare with Hyatt. We've reached out many times and talked to people like Kaymari and Hutch , but we feel like we're getting nowhere. We've told them we want to cancel, but no real options have been given to us. Hutch told us we had to pay off our loan and make sure our maintenance fees were current. We paid the maintenance fees, but then we were told there's no one to buy the timeshare and that we should try a third-party broker. We haven't even been able to use the timeshare. Every time we try to book, the dates we need—when our kids are off school—are always taken. It's also hard to find places big enough for our family. Recently things have been really hard for us. Lisa had major spine surgery, lost the use of a vocal cord, and hasn't been able to work. The medical bills and lost income have been tough on our family. There is so much going on and Hyatt won't take any part of our situation into consideration. We just can't afford the timeshare anymore, and we can't even use it. We hope this complaint helps bring attention to what we're going through. Resolution Sought We need Hyatt to step up and help us cancel this timeshare. Families like ours shouldn't have to go through so much stress just to get out of something we can't afford or use.

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction and frustration with my recent experience with Hyatt concerning my timeshare situation. I am requesting your assistance in ensuring the immediate cancellation of my timeshare contract with them. In July 2023, I transitioned from ownership to a portfolio program after attending a presentation by Hyatt. Unfortunately, this has proven to be a decision fraught with regret due to the misleading and manipulative tactics employed by their representatives—a practice I never expected from a company of their stature. The financial burden has been overwhelming. Contrary to assurances that the portfolio program would relieve me of maintenance fees, I am still being charged $150 monthly. Moreover, I was blindsided by an unexpected bill for 2024 maintenance fees, compounding my distress. Hyatt's high-pressure sales environment and the manipulative tactics employed during their presentations exacerbated my discomfort. It is particularly offensive that non-members have better access to the property than I do, and my maintenance fees are being misappropriated for repairs linked to the usage by these non-members. Resolution Sought Release me from vacation club ownership. Cancel the remainder owed of the $10,000.00 loan for the portfolio program. Refund what I paid so far toward the $10,000 including fees. Refund maintenance fees foe the multiple years the timeshare was not used and monies were collected on my property from other users.
