This complaint is against Hyatt Vacation Club for their deceptive sales practices and service failures. I have made many, unresolved attempts to contact the company, including emailing [email protected], to resolve this issue and formally cancel my ownership. I tried working with them directly, and nothing! The original sales process was high-pressure, focusing on monthly payments while rushing us through extensive, long-term commitment documents, particularly during upgrades. Since purchase, we have experienced steeply increasing maintenance fees, limited usable reservations, and a decline in property upkeep, especially following the Welk/Hyatt transition. We are no longer receiving the expected units despite paying for higher-tier options. Due to the company's failure to deliver the promised value and service, and the predatory sales tactics, I demand immediate CANCELLATION of my ownership agreement and a FULL REFUND of my entire investment. I require an immediate, documented resolution. At least I need someone to get back to me! Resolution Sought I want my account cancelled with Hyatt Vacation Club and my money refunded.

I am writing to complain about the difficulties we've had canceling our timeshare with Hyatt, originally purchased through Welk Resorts. Our experience has been frustrating, and I hope you can help. First, we've had ongoing difficulty booking our timeshare on desired dates and locations, a basic expectation for such an investment. This has devalued our purchase and caused significant stress. We are burdened by relentless increases in maintenance fees. Despite assurances these hikes would be rare, they are frequent and significantly affect our finances. This was not fully disclosed when we upgraded our membership. Adding to these issues, our original contract was with Welk Resorts. We had no option to exit the program when Welk was sold to Hyatt Vacations, and we feel unfairly bound to a company we didn't agree to engage with. Most distressing are the health challenges for my husband, Sam. Since contracting COVID-19 in 2022, his health has declined. In January 2024, he had a brain shunt placed due to hydrocephalus, and on May 14, 2025, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's dementia after neurological assessments. This has drastically changed Sam's life and ability to work, making it urgent to reduce expenses, including the timeshare fees. Given these circumstances, I urgently request your assistance in canceling our Hyatt timeshare. Relieving this financial and emotional stress is vital for our well-being.
