Customer Complaint

5/30/2022: We arrived at Westley Chapel Honda around 7 pm. Skylar said a 2010 Toyota Sienna was the only car on the lot we could get. He said he was going to put both of us on the paperwork so it would help out credit. We gave them our proof of employment and bank statements. They said they were giving us $7400 for our Mazda 3, which is in my fiancé's name "Tania W****"." We proceeded to sign the paperwork for the van, both of us, but then they said they needed $500 down plus the insurance. So, we drove our Mazda home that night. 5/31: I called the dealership and told them that it was just not in our budget right now. Then the Finance Manager, Jose Gutierrez was very unprofessional and threatened us. He said that "we better come get the van because no matter what he was pushing the deal through and we were going to pay regardless." Scared of paying for a van we didn't have we took possession of our new van and they even said they got our payments lowered to $291 w/0 down. 06/08/2022: Got a call from Juan Gutierrez who threatened us to bring the van back now or it would be repossessed and said "Don't you Dare call the loan company!" Tania called the loan company and Heather Jetram said they were missing Jorge's earning statements. 06/17/2022: sent statements to Heather 06/18/2022: Received email that the loan file was now complete. 06/21/2022: Woke up and the van was gone. The loan company said everything was good on their end, Juan withdrew the loan so it was out of there. Resolution Sought Our van, and personal property, stolen by Wesley Chapel Honda returned. They absorb the cost of the van and any fees (including taxes, title, tag, etc. to put our 2010 Toyota Sienna back in Jorge's name). Reimbursement of down payment for the insurance. Also, $7,400.00 cash to compensate for missed wages and mental and emotional trauma endured (even after learning of Tania's disability). A formal letter of apology from WC Honda and Lithia Motors for attempting to make quota by committing fraud.

The financing for the vehicle they tried to purchase did not go through due to inaccurate income stated to bank. Multiple attempts to contact the customer to no avail. Had the vehicle picked up because of no communication from consumer. We did not "steal" their van. There was nothing for the dealership nor any of it's employees to gain through this situation.
