My car caught on fire on Aug 28,2021 and I had the car 1 years 6 month..I had GAP INSURANCE..my insurance company sent western funding $8643.64 and I was told my gap insurance would would get the remaining balance of $1041.09.. total I still owed was $9,936.54 , I have a letter western funding email me because I needed proof for the dealership I was buying my new car from..now September 29 I was total I owed alittle over $3000.00 to them.. because I was told by western funding that my gap insurance was canceled due to me missing a payment..my car loan a month never changed and I never heard of canceling gap insurance...it's added on to your car payment monthly.. Resolution Sought Since they got the $8643.64 , I feel they should go after the gap insurance and get the rest of the remaining $1041.09 and just call it PAID IN FULL

Western Funding, Inc ("Western Funding", "we" or "our") has received the above referenced complaint. We value our customers and consider each complaint an opportunity to assist and service our customers more effectively. Thank you for permitting Western Funding the opportunity to respond to your concerns. A review of your account has shown there is no GAP benefit due to accrued interest before day of loss. The remaining balance was due to the accrued interest obtained through the extensions throughout the life of the loan. GAP does not cover remaining balances that are accrued interest. Further review has shown that the account is currently 30 days past due. We recommend you contact our Collections Department at 888-739-9192 to address your delinquency status, discuss payment options available to you, and determine your ability to make immediate payments and thereby avoid the possibility of litigation being initiated against you for breach of your contractual obligations. Western Funding appreciates your business and we trust that we have sufficiently addressed your concerns.
