May 1, 2025 Dear Ms. Grissom: Western Funding, Inc ("Western Funding", "we" or "our") has received the above referenced complaint. We value our customers and consider each complaint an opportunity to assist and service our customers more effectively. Thank you for permitting Western Funding the opportunity to respond to your concerns. We confirm that the automatic payment was initiated on the scheduled date. However, it returned due to insufficient funds. This process typically takes 3 to 5 business days. Unfortunately, if there are insufficient funds or an error occurs during this period, the payment will be returned, resulting in an insufficient funds fee. This is a standard procedure across global banking facilities and is beyond our control. While bank payments save you from processing fees, they do not absolve you from consequences if something goes wrong. Many customers prefer using their debit cards despite the fee because it provides immediate confirmation of payment status and does not incur extra charges. Due to a first payment default, the account was subsequently subjected to a dealer buyback. This policy is in place because of the risk involved with accounts encountering such issues and is in accordance with industry standards. As relayed to you by one of our representatives, all matters relating to the account must be directed to the dealership. Western Funding appreciates your business, and we trust that we have sufficiently addressed your concerns.
