Bought a Maytag washer 3 year ago have almost spent half the cost of washer in repairs and now lid lock not working , replaced it still nothing. Called Maytag nothing but runaround. Also while at Lowes a lady was looking at washers I told her don't buy Maytag she said she was on her 3rd replacement due to failures, I would love to get at least half my money back cause I had to purchase another machine this time GE already more satisfied with operation thank you Resolution Sought Personally, with all the mental anguish and the spend of half the cost of machine in just 3 years is ridiculous.

In an effort to administer our warranty fairly to all customers, Whirlpool Corporation complies with our legal, written, product warranty. Once a product warranty has expired, any costs for maintenance, service or component replacement are then within the owner's time frame of responsibility. I called the customer and we are working towards resolving the issue. This conumer is valued by Whirlpool and we apologize for any inconviencence.

Bought a Maytag washer and dryer on 10/25 of last year and in our dryer it looks like rust is coming through the seal or paint that is on the drum, it's white inside and it peeling off and looks like rust is coming through, paid $798.00 for the drying and had a repair person come out from Maytag and once they looked at the dryer, which he said he had never seen anything like this, he was on his phone for over a half hour or more with his boss at which time they said they couldn't do anything because it was cosmetic and Maytag wouldn't take care of the problem, this is cosmetic since some of this is getting on our clothes and down the road the rust is going to only get worse. Mr. Stout has filed a complaint with your office regarding the repair needed on his in-warranty Maytag electric dryer. I apologize for his experience. Whirlpool stands behind our appliances with the full one year manufacturer's warranty, which is for repair only; not replacement or refund. We are currently working with an authorized service provider on an on-going repair on the dryer to replace the dryer drum for rust. Whirlpool has provided the service company with a concession covering parts and labor costs. Please contact me directly if you have any other questions or concerns.

Whirlpool stands behind our appliances with a full one-year manufacturer's warranty that covers repairs only; not replacement or refund. He filed a complaint with your office because his working dryer has rust spots on it that are flaking onto his clothes. Rust is not covered under warranty. Mr. Stout purchased his Maytag electric dryer (MED6500MBK0, MD3827883) on 10/6/2024. The warranty is good for one year and expired on 10/6/2025. At this time, any necessary repair costs are the consumer's responsibility. As a one-time courtesy, Whirlpool has provided Appliance Hospital, the authorized service provider in his area, with a concession covering parts and labor to have the rusted part replaced. His dryer is currently scheduled for service on Friday, 10/17/2025.
