Company Response

She was not sold a Park model home (ANSI Code). She was sold a HUD coded manufactured home which is permittable on her property in the municipality in which she installed it. The appliances she purchased had never been used and were new, but did have some dents from being in a model home for a year. The client then goes on to state that the Hood vent, (the manufacturer of the home has been working with the client directly on this issue in lieu of us notifying them) wall oven (the oven is under warranty by the manufacturer of the oven. This has been explained many times to the client including but not limited to May 27th (via email) and June 30th (via email)), are broken. I couldn't even turn those appliances on. Refrigerator doesn't produce ice. (See previous response) The bottom freezer has dent on it. The dent the complainant is referring to was there prior to her purchasing the home. She was explained this on a recorded phone call (she was informed the call was being recorded) on July 6th. We are 100% certain of this dent existing prior to her purchase because we have the models professionally photographed after they are staged. Our service department has been actively engaging with the complainant to try and resolve any and all FACTORY WARRANTY issues. Some of our office staff even loaded the complainants vehicle with extra roofing material that was given to her for FREE after her contractors didn't show up to help her load it. The home IS/WAS "ready" for a permanent foundation system. The complainant was told that she needed to speak with the installation contractor she was hiring to engage with them on how the home would be installed. Wholesale Manufactured Homes was not contracted to install the home. The GSM of the location (San Marcos) of which the complainant bought the home was present during the contract signing process. He personally had suggested multiple times that the client just order a new home from the factory since she wasn't immediately ready to receive it on her property. She was explained she would then get to pick and choose was options and features she wanted. The complainant declined. In final, the manufacturer of the home has been working on resolving any and all factory warranty issues. They have even been at the home within in the last week.
