I would like them to be held accountable for the defamation of character that they put on me

I went into the store to purchase snacks and turn in some lottery tickets. I purchased the snacks first and the guy that, I was with tried to purchase a gas can and his card declined. So the cashier gave him back his card and claimed that he has him on video stealing a gas can some time before. I had already gave the cashier my lottery tickets to purchase more. The cashier started telling me that because, I was with the guy that I had stole from that store. I tried to explain to him that I had know ideal of what he was talking about and that it had nothing to do with me. He kept my tickets and shamed me in front of a store of customers. So I called back to the store later on to talk to the cashier to explain after I felt a little bit leveled headed from the shame he put on me. But someone put the manager on the phone and I explained to him that I had nothing to do with what was going on. He told me that he had called the police and filed a false case against me and that I wasn't allowed to come back to that store. I told him to look at their video and that he would see that every time I came to that store, I bought everything and never stole one thing from them. I would like them to be held accountable for the defamation of character that they put on me, the shame and the stolen purchase that they took for me illegally.
