We first were in contact with this company in October of 2020 where we discussed details of the job (vinyl siding, faux brick with ledger at front of garage, fascia, gutters). We placed a deposit of $5,000 where they stated they would order the material for the project in the spring of 2021, we received an invoice stating this would take about a week pending weather. March 31st was the first day of the project, the siding was present and they began working on removal of previous siding, however there was no faux brick or ledger. We contacted the contractor that said he would order it that day and that it may be delayed due to Covid. A couple weeks go by, the laborers finish the siding and begin fascia, still no word on faux brick. On April 23rd the brick arrives and it is the incorrect material. We brought this up to the contractor and he was livid, cussing my wife out via phone call, telling us that we approved the product even though the invoice says otherwise. He then told us they do not have that material and that we would need to find a supplier which we did and gave to the contractor, he then ordered samples then the product afterwards. On May 28th the material came in, but not enough, they then came back June 4th to finish the remainder of the siding, minus 2 J blocks to replace the original ones. Items were brought up the previous weeks about areas needing finishing, which were corrected. Contractor refuses to put the J blocks unless we are charged again for it. Resolution Sought We are looking to receive reparation for delayed time which contractor states was due to weather, however was due to mismanaged ordering of material (1-2 weeks to a 10 week project). We are also looking for a mediator to discuss terms in a reasonable and calm manner, without the contractor resorting to profanities and threats of legal action.
