Customer Complaint

9/15/2022

I stayed at Woodspring Suites in Camp Springs, Maryland for just under a month. During my time there I experienced poor customer service, constant breakages and subpar maintenance. When I first arrived, I initially reserved a room for 8 days, however upon arrival I was informed that the hotel was nearly at capacity and the only available rooms were smoking rooms (I do not smoke). As I was checking in, the young woman at the front desk (Jasmine) informed me that the room had recently been cleaned but to let her know if it wasn't up to standards. Upon entering the room I immediately noticed that the floor was damp and smelled of mildew. There were a few roaches roaming in corners of the room (not enough to be categorized as an infestation). The room itself smelled bad and bathroom was not cleaned. Shortly after I informed Jasmine of my findings. She said that she would move my room when another came available but it may take a day or two. I understood and took her word for it. The next day I left for work, when I returned, the room had somehow been locked from the inside. The staff worked to move me to another room. From there stayed in the new room for the next few weeks. Not long after, the elevator went out of service and remained that way for the remainder of my stay. There was also an armed robbery that took place on the premises, there was no word from the staff nor any actionable attempts to accommodate guests for the disturbance. I will continue this on a second entry Resolution Sought I would like a full refund as well as a handwritten apology from the regional manager for my treatment while I stayed at Woodspring Suites.
