Not sure if this is standard practice. Received payment on insurance claim. Company makes check for 2900$ which included a 100$ deductible. Attempt to cash check denied. Check cashing limit 2500$. Found this after 4 hours of travel time. Am I mistaken? Resolution Sought Explained why such action took place ?

Employee at storage facility painted the ceiling. As a result of his careless actions he cause drops of paint , paint chips and paint mist which permanently stained several pieces of clothing, shoes & couch. The insurance company denied my claim stating I only had paint chips on my personal property. This is unbelievable and criminal, forcing people to take fake insurance. Someone is doing shady business. My property is damaged and I spent lots of money on my belongings. I have the pictures to show the damage. Resolution Sought I wish to receive a apology first and I ask for $3,700.00
