Called to apply funds to the higher interest rate on my loan. They took my banking information over the phone. The funds in the amount of $235.43 were available. We received confirmation. Then later we find out the banker input the account information wrong. The payment did not go through, and then on top of it we were charge a $30 return payment fee, plus another month of interest. This company is scamming people. This is not the first incident of being charged fees negligently. We were never informed that our second part of the loan had a promotional period of 6 months and our minimum payment would go up after that. We were told it would only extend the length of our original loan that was at a lowrr interest rate. This resulted in hundreds of dollars of accrued late fees because i never adjusted my automatic bill pay to the proper minimum payment amount. Resolution Sought I would like all late fees and return check fees to be returned to me as well as any interest paid at the higher interest rate that I was never informed about.
