Complainants allege the company misdiagnoses problems perform unnecessary repairs or perform services not covered by the homeowners warranty company. Some customers complain that their warranty company assigns the company when a problem occurs; however the company claims the problem is not covered and requests a service fee from the homeowner. In other cases complainants allege the company bills both the warranty company and the homeowner for the same service. Several customers complain that the company arrives late fails to keep scheduled appointments performs shoddy workmanship or that the company overcharges for parts and services above industry standards. In some cases customers reported that the company advised them that they would be unable to perform repairs unless the customer agreed to costly code upgrades. ~~The company responds to some complaints regarding service fees by advising homeowners that service fees are due and payable even if no work is performed and to contact the warranty company if the service fee is a problem. The company addresses some complaints concerning shoddy workmanship by asking the complainant to provide receipts for damages to be reimbursed. In other cases the company offered apologies for delays without explanation.
