I did not authorize him to manually file nor did he consult with me.

I hired Alex to file my taxes on 2 different businesses. For several months he had been telling me it was e-filed but was having trouble emailing me the documents. 3 months pass and I finally go to the IRS only to find out he has not filed them. He now is saying he sent them in manually and will show me he did file but still refuses to produce any documentation. I did not authorize him to manually file nor did he consult with me. I am sure based on the information provided directly by the IRS that my documents were never filed. He finally returned my filing fee but I am seeking damages of loss revenue from loans that I missed out on plus any penalties and fees that I will be assessed due to the late filings.
