This firm solicits a secured Mastercard account for an advance fee of $49.00. Since a secured credit card requires money be deposited with the bank issuing the card, it is possible the excess amount is for that purpose. However this fact was not dislosed during the solicitation. On 12/8/95 the firm ceased offering it's program to the public, but customer service will stay open until it is no longer needed for products and services to be provided. It appears this company has moved to Largo, Florida. Consumers wishing additional information may contact the BBB of Tampa Bay & West Coast areas of Florida, located at P.O. Box 7950, Clearwater, FL 33758-7950. Consumers may call the Bureau at (727) 535-5522, visit their website at www.clearwater.bbb.org, or send an email to info@clearwater.bbb.org. Any third party advertising the availability of credit cards is required by law to register with the California Attorney General and post a $100,000 bond. Even if registered and bonded, it is unlawful to collect fees before services are performed. Offers of secured credit cards require a deposit in a savings account with the credit card issuer. This deposit is collateral for your line of credit or credit limit. In the case of unsecured credit cards, if you would not qualify for a credit card with your local bank, chances are a third party will not be able to help.
We know of no other matter or practice relating to this company that may assist you in your consideration of this company.
