Shasta Properties, Inc.

~ In August 2013 the California Bureau of Real Estate (“BRE”) filed a Desist and Refrain Order against Shasta Properties Inc. (“SPI”) and Gina Marie West (“West”). Based on the investigation the BRE determined that SPI and West had engaged in acts or practices in violation of the California Business and Professions Code.  The violations include but were not limited to; engaging in activity for which a real estate broker license is required providing or participating in property management services for others for compensation soliciting prospective tenants and property owners and advertising properties for rent.

~ According to the Order SPI has corporate real estate broker license rights by the BRE. However since May 6 2013 SPI has had no designated broker officer and is not entitled to engage in any activity requiring a real estate license.  West who is the sole owner of SPI has a salespersons license and has had no employing broker. The Desist and Refrain Order prohibits SPI and West from performing acts or practices within the State of California for which a real estate broker license is required unless or until a real estate brokers license has been obtained by the BRE. 

~ In November 2013 the Shasta County District Attorney’s Office (“Shasta County DA”) filed a civil lawsuit against Shasta Properties Inc. (“SPI”) and Gina West (“West”). Based on the investigation the Shasta County DA determined that SPI and West had engaged in acts or practices in violation of the California Business and Professions Code.  The violations include but were not limited to; acting in the capacity of advertising or assuming to act as a real estate broker for which a real estate broker license is required and unlawful business practices.

~ SPI and West continue through the present time to manage real estate properties for clients despite having a Cease and Desist Order from the California Bureau of Real Estate. The civil lawsuit seeks penalties and an injunction preventing SPI and West from continuing their unlawful conduct. The matter is currently pending.
