We believe Ship Target is a scam company currently operating a reshipping scam business using the information of an existing legitimate company. Fraudulent perpetrators of these types of scams often contact prospective victims with "job vacancy" ads or in response to job profiles posted online. Once recruited, the scammers often provide an Employment Agreement or similar forms asking for the prospective employees personal and banking information. The employee, or "parcel mules" will then begin to receive merchandise, often purchased with stolen credit card information, and instructed to repackage and relabel the merchandise and take it to the post office or shipping agency where the package is then shipped to other people involved in the scam.
The criminals behind the scheme need the mules to accept the fraudulently acquired items on their behalf. This gets them off the radar of officials that are following the scam. When the authorities follow the trail, they are often led to the worker instead of the true culprit. Some workers may get paid for reshipping the products, but payment is often made from fraudulent accounts which frequently are shut down, or checks sent as payment are often counterfeit. Most workers never get paid and the scammers cease communication or contact phone numbers and emails are no longer active.
