This law office has advised the BBB that another company has been using their company's name fraudulently in connection with a phony debt collection scheme. Consumers have reported receiving calls from a source falsely identifying themselves as calling from Law offices of Larry H Parker. The caller reportedly attempts to obtain bank account numbers personal information or attempts to solicit payment for an unfamiliar debt by using threats of incarceration profanity or other scare tactics. The Law office of Larry H Parker does not engage in or provide collection services. Any calls made by this fraudulent entity are made without authorization knowledge or permission of this law office. ~~The BBB has investigated similar reports from other area businesses as well as processed a significant amount of consumer complaints alleging alarming claims of threats of physical violence threats concerning children or loved ones threats of incarceration or public embarrassment. Many who have been contacted believe the calls may originate from a foreign country as all company representatives have heavy foreign accents. The callers demand to be given bank account or credit card numbers and other personal information as a means to resolve the alleged debt. Consumers also report the company fails to identify themselves by providing a valid address for their company.~~ ~~
