On 08/15/02 we requested that this company provide basic background business information and to provide substantiation of it's earnings claim. Specifically, we asked the company to verify that by stuffing envelopes a participant could earn $ 1,200.00 per week. To date the company has not responded to our request for basic background business information or to substantiate it's offer. This company advertises a work-at-home opportunity to earn thousands each week and eventually become a millionaire. We routinely advise caution before sending money. Most of these offers are found in the help wanted sections of newspapers and other publications. In fact, these companies are not really looking to hire anyone. Their actual business is running deceptive advertising which is designed to entice the public to send fees to get started. Further, addresses are usually mail drops, advertised phone numbers only reach recordings, and no local phone numbers are listed. Most also advertise out of state. If any offer seems to good to be true, it probably is. Typically the only one who profits from a work at home offer is the company itself. Of the numerous work at home companies in our files, not one ever substantiated the earnings claims made in advertising and promotional literature.
