Predatory Towing

Aaron's Towing Inc. City of Industry conducted an illegal tow known as "predatory towing" and they have a long history of doing so (see Yelp reviews). I was towed from in front of my garage and they did not have a contract with the owner or any authorization to do so on private property. Facts of the company's violation are as follows: 1. CVC 22658 l.(1)(E)(ii) Must have a written general agreement with the owner giving general authorization to tow vehicles for violations on their private property. 1.1. Aaron's towing does not have a written agreement with the owners of ##### St. West Covina 91792 which I confirmed with the owners. 2. CVC 22658(a)(1) Aarons towing does not have a posted sign at ##### St. West Covina 91792. This fact supports 1.1 above and one can reasonably assume the tow was done intentionally, known as a "predatory" or "satellite" towing. (See attachment – picture showing no sign at #### St, instead a sign on the neighboring complex #### St. which is owned by a different owner) 3. CVC 22658 l.(4) A person who violates this subdivision is guilty of a misdemeanor, punishable by a fine of not more than two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500), or by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than three months, or by both that fine and imprisonment. 4.
