Complainants allege, pagers they purchase either through this company, or CompUSA, only stay activated for a few weeks. Most customers complain that within 4 to 6 weeks after purchase, they begin receiving other peoples voice mail messages, and their pager numbers are continually busy. Complainants also allege they are unable to reach company personnel to resolve problems. Some customers complain they send back non-working pagers, and receive nothing in return. Many allegedly contact the company to report the problem, the company agrees to reactivate their service, and after 4 to 6 weeks the same problem occurs. The company responds to most complaints by agreeing to reactivate services, exchanging non-working pagers, or asking for proof of purchase and additional information to research the problem. Some complaints are unresolved, meaning the customers are not satisfied with the company's response. In most of these cases, although the company initially agreed to reactivate service, or replace equipment, the customers experienced similar problems within a short time period. Many complaints are unanswered.

Keep in mind, if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is. The use of advertising terms such as, "lifetime service," could be potentially construed as vague or ambiguous, if it does not also specify to whose life it may be refering to. For instance, in this case, how do you really know if the term refers to the life of the buyer, the life of the seller, or even the life of the equipment? To avoid misunderstandings, get specifics in writing.
