This company offers various wireless internet service packages for customers to have Wi-Fi access in many public locations such as airports hotels cafes and convention centers which the company refers to as a “hotspot”. The subscriptions range from pay as you go Wi-Fi connections for $7.95 for 24 hour access at one “hotspot” to unlimited monthly access for $9.95 a month. Certain restrictions and limits to access apply so customers are urged to read the terms of the agreement carefully to be aware of any possible additional charges prior to making a purchase.~~Most subscriptions for service automatically renew each month and are billed until cancelled. Many consumers overlook the advisory that the service is recurring and are unaware of the charge until their next monthly credit card statement. Industry guidelines require marketers to provide a fast easy method of canceling either by mail phone or website Failure to do so may be a violation of consumer protection laws.~~According to the company’s Terms & Conditions cancellation request must be received at least five business days prior to the end of your billing cycle in order for your account not to be billed. Cancellation request must be made in writing by registered or certified mail return receipt requested or by phone to their toll free number. Termination is not complete unless a cancelation confirmation number is received. If requests to cancel are received less that five business days prior to the end of your current billing cycle charges to your account may continue until the end of the following billing cycle. ~~Additionally the company allows 60 days from the billing date to dispute charges. Adjustments will not be made for charges that are more than 60 days old. Most credit card issuers will allow the cardholder 60 days to dispute an unauthorized or inaccurate charge. Review your monthly statement carefully. If you discover a charge which is unfamiliar investigate and dispute the amount with your card issuer as soon as possible to protect yourself from making unwanted purchases.
