Callers indicate this company sells golf clubs by allowing recipients to test the clubs without obligation for a period of 90 days. Customers are asked to pay a deposit on a major credit card prior to receiving the clubs. On August 16,2000 the company informed the Bureau that they are no longer capable of providing services to their golf customers in any manner, and those in possession of the clubs they provided may keep them. The company further states that they cannot accept any return of clubs, nor do they have any capability to recredit customers' credit cards. By law, consumers have 60 days from the billing date to dispute the charge with the credit card company. After the 60 day period, a charge cannot be reversed unless the seller consents. If the order is cancelled, we suggest that the product be returned in sufficient time to permit a credit card dispute to be filed.
