Some complainants allege merchandise arrives defective non operational damaged or missing parts. In some cases customers complain that once packages are opened they are unable to return the item for a refund and are offered a store credit. Several complainants report excessive delays in receiving exchanges or refunds. Most complainants report general dissatisfaction with the company's policies on refunds and exchanges due to not being eligible for refunds when products are determined to be defective. Customers contend that unless packages are opened and they attempt to operate the item it is impossible to determine if the unit works or not. Other complainants also report dissatisfaction with having to pay shipping charges for incorrect deliveries or to return defective merchandise.~~The company generally responds to complaints by explaining policies shipping orders offering repairs or agreeing to issue credits or refunds. ~

The Federal Trade Commission's Mail Order Rule allows the seller 30 days to ship ordered products to the buyer unless otherwise specified at the time of purchase. If the seller cannot ship within the 30 day period they are required to notify the buyer in writing of the delay and give the option of waiting or having their money returned within seven days. Credit card payments must be credited within one billing cycle. ~~Merchants who violate the Rule can be sued by the FTC for injunctive relief monetary civil penalties of up to $11 000 per violation (any time during the five years preceding the filing of the complaint) and consumer redress (any time during the three years preceding the filing of the complaint). When the mails are involved the Postal Service also has authority to take action for problems such as non-delivery. State law enforcement agencies can take action for violating state consumer protection laws.~~Keep in mind if you purchase an item that is defective the company is required to replace it or repair it but they are not required to provide a refund.
