Complaint Resolution Index (CRI) Explained The Complaint Resolution Index (CRI) is an indicator on how responsive a company is in addressing and resolving customer complaints brought to their attention by BCA. BCA's Summary and Analysis:

One complainant on file alleges after submitting the first and last month lease payment and providing all necessary information to complete the lease agreement the company was unable to fund his lease and allegedly failed to refund the advance payment. The company responded to the complainant by stating the customer provided false information on the lease application and advising they would refund the advance payment. However they would not credit the processing fee towards a future lease unless they receive documentation showing proof of ownership. The customer disputes that false infomation was used on the application and contends the contract signed entitles him to a refund of the amount paid.

We routinely advise careful consideration of offers to extend credit. Do comparative shopping on interest rates and other terms and conditions. In some cases customers unknowingly sign contracts that contain clauses which allow the financial company to retain any advance payment or monies paid to compensate themselves for credit checks and other administrative costs. Our experience with similar offers has been that even when solicited as being pre-approved in some cases leases are not funded and the company retains the clients deposit based on the customer's own signature on the contract agreeing to allow them to do so. Read and understand before signing any business agreement.
