Defective DVD: Lions Gate was very helpful

Months ago, I got a Hunger Games DVD from a retailer. Sadly, the DVD was somehow defective and wouldn't play past the menu. I tried to return it to the retailer, but they would not take it because it was opened. Then, I tried to find a way to file a complaint with Lions Gate on their website, but I could not find customer service contact information (that was the most frustrating part). I managed to contact them through BCA. Once the ball was rolling, Lions Gate was extremely willing to make the situation right. They were persistent and pleasant to work with. I went back to the retailer like Lions Gate suggested to "exchange" the DVD before sending it back to Lions Gate. The retailer allowed me to exchange the defective one for a new one rather than "return" it.
