Clients complain the company takes their credit card number telling them it will to be used to pay required advance fees associated with the sale transaction of their timeshare. Complainants report without receiving a copy of their contract the cards are immediately charged between $1000 and $2000 and they are unable to cancel and obtain refunds.~~In a few cases customers disputed the charges with their credit card issuer to recover their money. This company purports to provide assistance to timeshare owners by helping them sell their timeshare property. The company asks for a credit card number to pay for closing costs in advance. Once the credit card number is given the company refuses to accept cancellations and places unauthorized charges on the credit cards. ~~We urge caution. This company is a timeshare advertising company. They do not act as brokers or real estate agents or facilitate sales. Only licensed real estate brokers or sales agents working for a licensed real estate broker are authorized to sell or resell timeshares in the State of California. ~~The BBB warns that our experience with this industry was shown that companies who publish timeshare advertising in magazines or internet directories have used deceptive sales practices to lead customers to believe that they were listing their timeshare with a company who could sell it or that they could sell the timeshare units themselves. After agreeing to services and paying up-front fees customers found that all they were receiving was an ad in a publication. Don't rely on verbal representations made by salespersons. If you have any questions about the contract or agreement or if it does not clearly state what service is to be provided it is advisable to have an attorney check it out before signing.
