Usually leads are obtained from internet websites designed to look like informational websites for consumers concerning home buying or credit issues, such as refinancing to pay debts, or information on the advantages of home ownership. In some cases, comsumers may not even be aware they have become a potential sales lead, believing the contact information they left on a long forgotten website visit was for a free newsletter subscription, or other similar free offers.

Read and understand all terms and conditions outlined in your contract. If leads are advertised as "fresh" ask for an explanation of the term. Find out what assurances or guarantees you actually have that the leads are in fact exclusive or fresh. Find out if the date and time the lead was generated will be disclosed. Also find out how many other clients will be sold the same leads that you have purchased. Our experience with this industry has been that the marketing leads purchased sometimes fail to meet the specific quality meeds of the buyer. Most contracts make no guarantees of success rates. Contracts merely state that the buyer is paying for a specified number of potential customer contacts. Generally, there are no refund provisions.
