Complaint Resolution Index (CRI) Explained The Complaint Resolution Index (CRI) is an indicator on how responsive a company is in addressing and resolving customer complaints brought to their attention by BCA. If they are considering doing business with the company, consumers can use this indicator to forecast the likelihood of having their issues addressed if a problem arises. CRI measures the company's customer satisfaction abilities through BCA’s complaint mediation process.

Intentionally misleading vehicles owners or not?

Online accounts allow residents or guests to safelist their vehicles and is a great feature. As is list of all vehicles safelisted in the past, misleadingly labeled Vehicle History. No history under that heading except list of vehicles. You can find the successful safelist history per license plate if determined to and yet, unless you have each exact, correct citation for the vehicles listed on your account - you'll never be able to get any citation information from the Patrolmaster online portal... so if it rained, your mom forgot to tell you, your neighbor thought it funny to remove it or security officer got distracted and didn't affix citation well enough etc - you won't know you've reached limit of citations and are subject to tow. You can't get that information from your account using any information EXCEPT the company's random AF citation numbers you may or may not have received. USELESS to pretend to provide a citation report if you'd need the citation's information to access the report. Am I wrong? Or is that company's intent? Negates all previous nice features of their website because I can find my own license plates if I really need to but how can I find their citation numbers or per vehicles count of citations issued and when WITHOUT the citation? I can't so useless crap and ALL for show

Comments and Analysis

New consumer protection laws in California went into effect on January 1 2007 and has tightened existing towing regulations and added criminal penalties for certain violations. Under the law towing companies are required to obtain written towing authorization from property owners prior to any tow and present it to the vehicle owner prior to obtaining payment keep records for a period of three years for inspection by law enforcement of all towing authorizations and photographs of vehicles illegally parked in front of fire hydrants or blocking entrances. The law also requires towing companies and their drivers to immediately and unconditionally release a vehicle that is still on private property and to make a good faith inquiry of the property owner or agent that the vehicle being towed was unlawfully parked for at least one hour before commencing a tow. Violations of any of these provisions are criminal misdemeanors.
