They take the money and know up front they will not pay much out.

My Granddaughter's car ended up totaled out in June 2018. We went through the insurance company and they paid their portion to the finance company per insurance coverage so my mother filed a GAP Claim for the difference of what was left on the car to pay. After 3 weeks of paperwork and they kept saying each section of paperwork was either not good enough or that they can not view it through their site even though their site said they were accepted so this went on for weeks. There was a difference of $2000 dollars on what the Insurance company paid and what GAP should of covered per being sold to us by a representative of the car company on their behalf. Their contract per there underwriter says as soon as you have your car totaled they cancel your contract and you have to put a claim in for GAP. Well, now you can not prorate the contract because they cancel it. Also they are only paying $154 Dollars on the deficiency of the difference even though it should be the $2000. Either way per contract whether the insurance company pays all or not it's still the $154 per Under writing which is not the way it's sold to the customer. They should not be able to sell their false GAP Coverage in other States due to it's basically a pyramid sales contract. They take the money and know up front they will not pay much out. All contracts they sell should be voided and paid to all customers per false sales and coverage lies.
